Coaches Report

Before I start this weeks report I would like to thank all of the parents whom have volunteered their time to not only help on game days but just for being at training on wednesday & friday nights. If we can keep parents like yourselves at the club that follow the kids the way you do I’m sure the club will have a more secure future.

Well let’s get started with our little champs. I am so proud of the little fellas this week the way they stood up and filled in the void we had from having no Fabian, Joel, Adam & ben. I don’t think we would have done much better with those kids in the side. A big well done to Donte. He only has 6 more games left in under 10’s before moving up and sure he will dominate in the under 12’s.

Again I can’t say enough about our little little little champs. Tyson, Franky, Alex, Lachlan, Fynn, Jac & Rylie. These guys next year are going to be a force to be reckoned with. If all our players had hearts like these guys no-one would get near us. Keep up the great work.

Once again Sam surprised me. When will he stop. Hopefully never. I lost count how many marks he took but it was more than he’s taken all year. Well done buddy.

Mark of the day goes to Zac with a running same direction as ball over head mark. Great job
Tackle of the day goes to Zain. Hit em hard so they don’t come back. Well done Zain.

We missed a lot of players on sunday especially Ethan but as usual Trent, Reef, Ryan & Jesse stood up and took on the challenge. Well done guys.

All in all the whole team played fantastic and I’m sure your parents are very proud of you.
Andre, Jake, Ivan, Tyrone and Steven didn’t get much of a chance to strut their stuff on the forward line but very soon they will be busy kicking bags of goals.

Thank you to all you little champs for making my job as coach such a pleasure when you all put in and fight hard for the ball like you did on sunday

EIGHT ROUNDS down; so I think it’s time for an update from Keilor Park Football Club of what’s been happening and what the future holds.

Firstly, THANK YOU to all Sponsors, committee, players, coaches and supporters who have helped so far in season 2008 – the club couldn’t survive without so much help!!

What’s been happening @ KP?

The Keilor Park SENIORS have really had some up and down moments this year under the guidance of club great Marcus Barclay. The club is sitting in 5th position on the ladder with 5 wins and 3 losses. Some close losses to some very good top 5 B Grade clubs have been the lows. The UPs have been the great application from the coaches and players to form a very competitive side each week and the form of some great young players @ Keilor Park Football Club. (more…)
